The new name reflects both our history and our core business. Today we are a leading supplier of filters for machinery and equipment in construction, transportation, industry, energy, aquaculture, marine, oil and gas. We have specialist expertise in the field of filtration, and we cooperate with world-leading filter manufacturers in Europe. 60 local presence dealers are our most important partners in Norway.
Thanks to the loyalty of our customers and skilled employees and collaborators, we have been able to grow and develop systems to adapt to new demands. We are currently undergoing major developments on the digital side, and by 2020 the company can celebrate its 50th anniversary!
Our company was founded in 1970 by the Lekang family and we started up as a dealer of excavators. After a few years, the company had both a machine department and a filter department. Starting as Fleetguard filter dealer in 1974, the filter sales quickly. In the 1990s, we decided to go all in for filters and the machine department was closed down.
The Lekang filtersystem software, launched in 1980, is one of our biggest success factors. Lekang filtersystem today helps 23,000 machine owners to keep track of filters for large machine parks and ship fleets. More than 2,000 users in the Nordic countries use the system on a daily basis to search for filter cross references, find product information or order filters online.
We are proud to be able to further develop the family business, which today is part of the Lekang Group. Lekang Group consists of Lekang Filter AS in Norway, Filterteknik Sverige AB and Filterteknik A/S in Denmark. Lekang Group has 72 employees and a total revenue of 27 MEUR in 2017. Our owners are Indutrade AB in Sweden.
